Privacy Statement
Inner Play Counselling and Well-being is committed to managing personal information in accordance with Australia’s Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make an enquiry from https://innerplay.com.au (the “Site”).
By using this website, you are deemed to have read and understood this Privacy Policy, and you consent to us managing your personal information as described below.
Personal information we collect
When you visit the Site, certain information about your device is automatically collected, including your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some cookies installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, information about the individual web pages or products you view, the websites or search terms that referred you to the Site, and how you interact with the Site is collected. We refer to this automatically-collected information as ‘Device Information’.
Device Information is collecting using the following technologies:
-
Cookies are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies, and how to disable cookies, visit https://www.allaboutcookies.org.
-
Log files track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.
-
Web beacons, tags and pixels are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Site.
When we talk about ‘Personal Information’ in this Privacy Policy, it refers to both Device Information and Enquiry or Information provided that is relevant to the performance of our services.
How is your personal information used?
The Device Information collected helps screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize the Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our website).
However, your IP address in the Google Analytics app is anonymised, instructing Google Analytics to remove the last octet of your IP address prior to its storage.
Sharing your personal information
Your Personal Information is shared with third parties to improve use of your Personal Information, as described above. For example, Google Analytics helps understand how customers use the Site – you can read more about how Google uses your Personal Information here: https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/. You can also opt-out of Google Analytics at: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Finally, Personal Information may be shared to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.
Do not track
We do not alter our Site’s data collection when we see a ‘Do Not Track’ signal from your browser.
Data retention
When you submit information either when submitting an enquiry or when contracting our services via email or telephone, we do retain your Information and documents on file in a password-protected, encrypted secure environment, until you ask us via email to delete that Information.
